J.C. (1972)

Technically this is a biker movie but it plays way more like a hippie movie with it's long scenes of pot-smoking, dopey folk music and Jesus analogy concerning peace and love and being hassled by 'the man'('the man' here being represented by the great Slim Pickens). J.C. Masters is our main character who talks to a big blinking eye in the sky that tells him to lead a gang of hog-riders with cool names like Happy Von Wheelie and Mr. Clean(the bald guy of course). They just travel around looking for something but they're not sure what. It's all very heavy man! There's even a sign hanging in J.C.'s dwelling reminding him to "Do It Heavy" which is a bit of a strange message. This whole movie is strange though with it's pseudo-religious slant, commentary on racism and civil-rights and definitely only something that coulda been made as the 60s were coming to a close and the 70s were beginning. A weirdo trip-out man! All the action really only takes place in the last 15 minutes so if you're looking for a kick-ass biker flick this might not be for you but if you want something a little stranger give it a look.

On VHS under the snazzier title of IRON HORSEMEN:
