SHADOWZONE (1990)

This is some stupid bullshit about a shape-shifting interdimensional monster that pops out of people's dreams in a lab. You get a SCANNERS-like head explosion and some gory autopsy subjects but most of this is pretty sleep-inducing. It's also really dark(at least the VHS I watched was) so that doesn't help much. Louise Fletcher is a long way from her Academy Award winning role in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST and spends a bunch of time applying Chapstick for no reason. This is a Full Moon Studios production so I wasn't expecting much. At least there were no puppets in it and on the positive side you get a totally naked lady with perfect boobs throughout the entire film(yeah she's asleep for most of that but it still counts).

ROBOT WARS (1993)

So I guess, according to this movie, in the post-apocalyptic future giant robots will be used as mass transportation and they get attacked a lot so they build giant fighting robots instead of buses and trains and then they fight tanks and terrorists and whatnot. Sounds dumb already. The 90's were a terrible time even for low-budget campy B movies and one of the biggest producers of 90's garbage was Charles Band and his Full Moon Entertainment company. This stupid, pointless, badly-acted, sci-fi crap was directed by Charlie's dad Albert Band and that doesn't seem to have made this any better. You don't even get to see much of what the title promises us which is robots fighting up until the big finale. Barbara Crampton from RE-ANIMATOR is in this but she doesn't even have the decency to get naked so that also sucks.
A.K.A. ROBOT JOX 2(from what I've read ROBOT JOX #1 at least has a lot of robots battling it out so it's gotta be at least slightly better than this).

BLOOD DOLLS (1999)

Full Moon Entertainment have cranked out a shitload of horrible movies throughout the 80's, 90's and they're still going today.  They have, arguably, a worse track record than Troma when it comes to awful productions.  I mean I can say that at least a few Troma movies appealed to me when I was younger, Full Moon's stuff never really did at all.  I mean how many times do you need to see them remake the same basic movie about killer puppets or killer dolls?  It seemed like director Charles Band had quite an insatiable little person fetish.  Now no one loves midgets more than I do but when you get even smaller than that it gets a little strange to me.  The main appeal of this here movie is that it features a rich wacko madman, who happens to have a tiny, little, shrunken, Beetlejuice-style head.  But that's not the cool thing, the cool thing is that he has an all female rock band that he keeps in a cage.  They get shocked whenever he wants to hear them rock out.  Who wouldn't want that?  Plus he also has a midget servant which is just icing on the cake.  Now it also features stupid little dolls cuz it was directed by Band and that's what turns him on.  If you can ignore that silliness you get some blood, a brief boob flash, weird, kinky s & m games and a bodygaurd who wears clown makeup.  So while this one might be barely watchable for the weirdness it's still just another in a long line of fairly crappy silliness.
